Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Just got an email from Samsung welcoming me to the trade-in program and reminding me to send in the trade-in. Looks like only a matter of time before we get something in regards to actual shipping.
 
I just spoke to support and they told me that ups is experiencing issues with there system and the email I got on the 3rd was the shipping date and she told me I should get the orders today if not tomorrow by the latest

Lies. Called a buddy of mine who is the region's distribution manager and he said they are having zero tracking issues.
 
Yeah lies. I had something (not the Note 8) delivered today by UPS and it tracked it pretty well.

Just received the same email. One interesting tidbit: While the tracking number provided is a "1Z" number that equates to UPS, the return label provided with the cited email for the trade-in program is a FedEx label. Anyone else confused?

Same. We're pretty much all in limbo/confusion until we get notice of actual movement with our packages.
 
Still no change on my order. I can still cancel it. Ugh. Come on Samsung. This is stupid that you can't process our orders.
 
People need to relax, they could ship late tonight and get to people tomorrow. Now if our tracking isn't showing up tomorrow, then we can start to be mad.
 
We are already scheduled to get the phone a week head of schedule and we're still not satisfied. Funny how we go through this every time there is a new phone and we're still not used to it.
 
I'm just checking in, haven't been on here for a few days. I see a lot of you are starting to get upset and impatient. This is just how it goes. I pre-ordered the unlocked version on 8/24 with standard shipping, and no trade in deal. I've also seen no change in my order. No biggie for me, since I've got several phones already. Look forward to reading about you all receiving your phones, and what you think of them.
 
Since I sold my IP7+, I am using a LG Phoenix 3 to get me by till my Note 8 gets here. I am suffering using this slow pos phone. LOL!

Most people have had their bank account's charged and mine still says pending.
Now I'm not upset but I don't see why Samsung can't get the ball rolling in times like these

Couldn't agree more. We're already (mostly likely) going to get these phones earlier than expected. It's all good.

People, myself included, are extremely sensitive to situational equity. If Johnny is getting his ball on the 5th, I deserve my ball on the 5th, too. When people feel like they are getting the short end of any situation they are extremely likely to complain.

The irony is that you'd see far fewer people stressing out over it if EVERYONE got it on the 15th, even if that means EVERYONE had to wait longer.
