Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Dang man. I just spoke to Samsung Rep and he told me those who preorderd on August 24, 25th, or earlier had their orders shipped but those who preordered after will get theirs by the 14th...ugh

Wow, that sucks if its true! I'm just one day late. Again, it would've been nice if former note 7 owners would get "priority" shipping... My status hasn't change.

Nope. A couple hours ago got notice that it couldnt be loaded onto the plane in time and it is still in Louisville. The flight landed in Ft. Myers still despite the storm.

24/8 & Earlier Bookings > Processed on 4/9 & 5/9 >> Shipped 5/9 & 6/9
25/8 Bookings > Processed on 6/9
26/8 Bookings > Processed on 7/9

I may be wrong.. But we should expect 25/8 orders shipping soon, with 27/8 orders getting processed.

Still no estimate. I hope it's on the plane in the morning before the possible hurricane. When does the 14 day trade in period clock start to ship it in? What if I get the phone super late because of the hurricane? Should I refuse shipment since i might loos the trade in offer and just order from tmobile?

Unfortunately as I have learned, and I've called thrice. Ups will not hold the pkg at the hub/depot . They told me it's under strict instruction from the shipper. This is why I've decided to not buy direct ever again. Possibly though you may have a good excuse for asking them to hold it. It's their fault after all. I can tell you too, that Samsung hasn't charged anyone I've talked to (me included) for express shipping. Looks like we essentially got it any way.

Yep, I hope so too, but I'm like whatever about it now, when I get it... I'll get it Lol. I made my options if the note 8 hasn't ship out around the time the next iPhone announce... and I like the iPhone more, i most likely cancel the note 8 order. Lol

Man this is nuts. So the sale of the phone to the general public starts on the 14/15th and everyone on here is going crazy because its the 7th and your waiting on your phone. LOL....have fun! I myself would not ship anything into Florida at this point. If you got it today, be happy its a week early. If you didn't, suck it up. You have till the 14th.

So I called again and she was Samsung told the reps that those who had their orders placed Aug 30 or later will get their devices on the 13th or 14th, but she say she will send an email to the warehouse to expedite my shipping...I doubt it will help with anything but thats nice

You also get a 256gb sd card instead of 128 like the pre-order deal said. I'd say this is a win for many. Got a better sd card, free overnight shipping, and got the phone a week early. Cool that being early on the pre-order paid off this year.

Nice!! I was a bit disappointed to hear that it was only 128gb. But, to get the 256gb card and charger now in exchange for getting the phone just a few days later than carriers is great news.
