Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Yeah, I have called about mine a couple of times. Ordered on the 24th. Verizon edition, Note 7 promo, with SD card and Charger. Still stuck in Preorder with Cancel button. All they tell me is "Your order looks fine. You will be notified when it is ready to ship". When I ask why mine is sitting there while people who ordered a week after I did are already getting tracking numbers - they all of a sudden can't hear me, and I get disconnected...lol. "Sir, are you still there? I can't hear you...". Twice now. Gotta love Samsung.com
 
Well Im getting ready to leave my house. They upped the Surge forecast big time for charlotte county. I might not make it back until Tue or Wed. Can I re-schedule delivery for a later time on the UPS app?

I doubt there are Tue deliveries though.
 
Mine went from confirmed to shipped via FedEx. It's supposed to arrive Tuesday. Is it possible to arrange for in store FedEx pickup?
 
Ordered on the 26th, tmobile variant, former note 7 user, just got my tracking number this morning and will be ship by FedEx on the 12th by 8pm to California.

They are only sending the phone and charger, the sd card is still on pre-order. I think same thing happen, when I ordered the note 7, the charger and sd card was ship separately.

Since the Apple announcement is on the same day, if I decide to stay with the iPhone instead, I'll refuse the package.

Same here. Ordered on the 24th verizon sd card and charger and still on preorder. Samsung gave me the same answer via chat.

The same thing happened to me when I called! I've been a Note fan from the beginning. I usually just wait till release day but when I read Note 7 owners would be getting their orders before everyone else I decided to preorder. Never again. I get that we are all getting our phones (hopefully) before release day but when I see carriers and even Samsung delivering to non Note 7 owners I'm like, what was the point of this? I'm not getting the phone "first". Not even close. Still stuck on preorder with option to cancel. Ordered 8/26. I wish I at least had an email confirmation. All of my communications with Samsung have resulted in different responses. "You're confirmed and it's shipping tomorrow" "you're confirmed and shipping the 11th" "backordered and shipping October 1st" I wish Samsung would get their customer service and shipping together. I'd just rather the truth. "our system has bugs and we are working to remedy this." But there is no continuity across their system. I'm so ready to trade in this IPhone 7plus I have been using and disliking this past year.

They got confirmed 1-2 days ago and were shipped yesterday and today. Fedex seems to show the scheduled date for September 12th.

Note (Pun not intended): I did this through the $300 trade-in for the Note 5.

They got confirmed 1-2 days ago and were shipped yesterday and today. Fedex seems to show the scheduled date for September 12th.

ahhhhhhh yeeeeeessss the moment i been waiting for yaaaahooooo its shipped i was getting pissed shipping orders from sept and all kinds of crazy but it will be here fed ex tues the 12th hope everyone gets theres together too fedex sent the notification nothing from samsung yet
 
I thought this chat may help others wondering why their early preorders aren't getting to them. Still vague but it's something.

How do you check order status? I was just charged but that's all I know.
 
So mine came Thursday and I got the wireless charger and SB card. I thought the card was supposed to be a 128gb card, but they gave me a 256gb card. Any one else?

You won't have to reschedule it, UPS will do that for you.

on samsung.com but only reason i know it has shipped right now is i'm signed up with fedex they sent me text saying a package has been picked up for delivery on the 12th sign up for ups and fedex and when there are labels created it will notify you my order still shows confirmed but i have tracking from fedex to my address
 
So I just unboxed my Note 8 yesterday and noticed the corner on the bottom left had some chips out of the bezel. I called Samsung and couldn't get through yesterday. Called again this morning and talked to someone who said they will either offer an exchange or a return and re-buy at the Note 7 discounted price. I am supposed to hear something within 3 days on which route they want me to take.
