Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Well Im getting ready to leave my house. They upped the Surge forecast big time for charlotte county. I might not make it back until Tue or Wed. Can I re-schedule delivery for a later time on the UPS app?

I doubt there are Tue deliveries though.

order early morning 8/25 for the unlocked Note 8 and received my shipped notification this morning for delivery on the 12. Not a Note 7 tradein.
 
So it looks like MAYBE the shipment coming on Monday is just the case. I just got a second FedEx notification of another package from the same shippers, same dementions but a 3lb wight this time. 2 day delivery on the 12th.

No emails from Samsung, samsung order page still shows Phone: Confirmed, 360 Cam Preorder, and Cade in transit.

This is just getting silly.
 
E-mail from Samsung today says Note 8 and wireless charger shipped,128 GB is pending. I ordered on August 27th and it says delivery scheduled for Tuesday Sept 12th.
 
I'm so ready to trade in this IPhone 7plus I have been using and disliking this past year.

LOL! I'm sorry, but this statement just made me laugh. I hope you get info on your phone soon. I understand your frustration and have been there in the past, when pre-ordering phones.
 
I got 4 different shipped emails for all the items of the order for those interested. All had the same tracking number though

IKR! Both my pre-ordered Note 8's arrived in my state this afternoon! Hoping for it to be delivered to my local hub on Sunday, and out for delivery on monday.
 
Ordered mine unlocked from Samsung on 25th with gear 360. Got shipping notification today and the delivery is on Tuesday. Can't wait :)
 
Although we are getting it 3, maybe 4 days before the release, still kind of bummed about Samsung pulling a dumb move. If 3rd party carriers are SHIPPING them out a week before the main company ships them out, that's a problem. C'mon, show us some love.
 
So I just track my packaged, since it was shipped from IN this morning 8:27am, it arrived in my area at 6:40, still "scheduled delivery" is on Tuesday 9/12. I wonder since the package is out here now, if the package is going be out for delivery on Monday instead... wonders.

I live in Indiana. Roughly 2 1/2 hours north of Indianapolis, where the phone is shipping from. It shipped Friday 9/8 and is scheduled for delivery 9/12. I paid for overnight, got charged for overnight and it's still taking 4 days to deliver. I ordered from Samsung strictly for the Note7 rebate. Hopefully that goes better than this.
 
So mine came Thursday and I got the wireless charger and SB card. I thought the card was supposed to be a 128gb card, but they gave me a 256gb card. Any one else?
It appears Samsung is sending the 256 instead. That's what everyone is saying.
 
I wonder if I can request the delivery guy to come at 8p or after, might be able to get out of work 15 min early.
Probably too late to help now, but consider having electronics shipped to your IT Dept on campus and then arrange with them to pick it up.
 
I just noticed that as my Note 8 is sitting at FedEx sort facility not far from my house for the weekend before being delivered Monday (grrr), my Samsung Premium Care started on the day it was shipped. Shouldn't it start on the day I accept that package? I know it's nit picky, but it started this past Thursday when I won't get it until Monday........
 
I thought this chat may help others wondering why their early preorders aren't getting to them. Still vague but it's something.

Are the phones only being shipped from two places? Brightpoint in Indianapolis and one other place? I might be wrong but it sounded like everyone was getting it from one of these two places. So the "availability of stock in that area" doesn't seem to make sense when the phones are coming from hubs.
 
Ordered on the 6th, on the 7th I contacted Samsung via email and asked for the status on my order (It was on "Preorder" status). On the 8th in the morning, I got a email saying "After viewing your account, I see that your order has been suppressed. This means that there has been an issue with your bank allowing us to place an authorized hold on your funds."

Order was canceled (although I didn't know because my order still said "Preorder", so it's a good thing I contacted Samsung about the status on my order.)

I then contacted TD bank about this issue and they said everything is alright on their side and I should be able to make purchases as there is no limit/hold or anything on my account. So TD bank told me to go ahead and do the order again. I did it while he was on the phone, ordered the S8+ instead, order almost immediately changed to "Confirmed". So I thought everything was good. I went ahead and ordered the Note 8 about 1 hour later, was on "Preorder" status, but because I had "Confirmed" on the previous recent order, I didn't think anything of it.

About 6 hours later a hunch told me to contact Samsung (over the phone) and ask about my orders. And once again, the lady told me my order was cancelled because of "billing address" issues or something like that. That the "info" doesn't match the banks' hence why my orders are being denied (all 3).

I don't know how that's possible because I used Samsung finance and on the order page, I don't need to enter any details, I just choose "pay over time" and chose 'Samsung Finance' and that was it. Order Placed.

I then contacted Samsung again and explained everything, and the guy said he wrote up something and passed it to the "Higher ups" and that I should receive a call in the coming week. He gave me a reference number in case they don't call, so I can call back and give the reference number so they can pull up the notes or whatever.

Anyone every been through this?
 
Good news! Fedex sent me an email that the package is being shipped from Indianapolis, IN to the Boston area and will arrive on Tuesday, September 12. Ordered with Note 7 promo on August 27. Package Dimensions 15 X 6 X 8 inches and weight of 5 lbs. Ordered the 360 GearVR Camera which must explain why the package is so heavy. Samsung web site still shows no tracking number - I guess the site will refresh overnight.

This is interesting... My pacakge is 10x8x6 and only 3 lbs... I also have the Note 8 and Gear 360. It is also being sent to me in NYC from Brightpoint NA in Indianapolis. The packaging seems different or one of these are wrong. Anyway, it's sitting at the JFK airport sorting facility and will get here Monday so I'll find out. lol
