Yes, it's essentially an online credit card. Once you finance it, the separate company (which I believe is TD Bank) only cares about it getting paid for.

I ordered on the Verizon web site within the 1st minute of being able to access the pre-order screen.

Not looking that way since all carriers appear to be giving tracking info and seem to be reporting 9/5 delivery dates now and we that ordered directly from Samsung have nothing.

I spoke to a customer rep about that and she told me that each carrier gets to ship when they want to ship but as for Samsung, they are referring to getting it before the 15th

Well I canceled my original order from Samsung for a unlocked model and ordered a Verizon from Samsung instead, not planning on using Verizon as a carrier

Creates a delay in shipping but that's OK gave me the 12th as ship date.

I am a VZW user with ancient grandfathered UDP. If I buy VZW version Note 8 direct from Samsung to get the promotion price with eligible trade in can I keep my current plan? Any particular steps I must follow to be sure I keep my OG UDP plan? (Nationwide 500 w corporate discount)

This !!! I think people misunderstand what that means (rightly so), but I think all what Samsung is trying to say is get them before anyone will be able to buy it in stores. But I agree they can word their statement little better because every year there will be pissed off people saying carrier pre order shipping early and not Samsung ones.

I really think Samsung can tell carriers when to ship or not ship. I mean if i can get it from a carrier before the company that actually makes the phone, what does that say about Samsung? They can't control their own product. Lol

They just tried to charge my card, but American Express denied my charge due to fraud alert. Now I'm have a hard time getting through to digital River to reauthorize the charge.

Still nothing on my send. Still gives me option to cancel. I ordered on the 25th though.

I hope it ships next week. I usually work on Tue, and if it ships the 11th since I did overnight shipping it would be the 12th and my parents have a dr. appointment early in the afternoon when fedex usually stops by.

Since a sig is required would I have to go to the hub to pick it up then after work? Maybe I shouldn't have paid the extra $14 for shipping LOL and waited an extra day.

Also this sucks because it looks like Irma might pay a visit around that date too and it is going to be a bad storm most likely for someone on the east coast. I really hope they do ship next week.
