Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

I just got a text message stating that my Verizon note 8 is being delivered Saturday Sept 2 2017. Of course I thought sure that means it will sit somewhere and be delivered like on sept 14th 2017. so I called Verizon and they have confirmed that Sammy released the preorders of the note 8 early and that I will get my note on the 2 sept. 2017

Is this order from Samsung.com?

not sure if all carriers are shipping early. but if you preordered it on Verizon u will receive at the earliest by sept 2nd depending. called Verizon and they said depending on when u preordered it you could receive it either Saturday or Tuesday sept 5th. the holiday put a damper in it. but this is good news

Ah yes other carriers are doing that as well but you posted on Samsung.com order thread that it's shipped so got excited that samsung.com orders are shipping as well

Some are saying some on Verizon might get it tomorrow or Sept. 5th. Likely ours don't ship until sept 5th since Monday is Labor day. They might get it sooner than us.

That happened to me with my Verizon order. Thankfully Verizon sent me an email saying failed payment, to update. I did, selected use same card and presto, order processed.

Of all times for my credit card to do a fraud alert, lol.

I called AMEX to advise them that the charge would be coming through. They told me not to worry about it. It would go through. Today, they denied the charge and told me to have the charge reprocessed. I call Samsung.com, they told me my order was cancelled and I would have to reorder. I tried to use the same email address from first order to get the note 7 discount and it said offer as already been redeemed. I call Samsung back to see if I can get the discount again. They told me I would have to email proof of purchase and wait up to 5 days for the discount to reset.

Strange. Mine went from went from the option to "Cancel" to "Confirm". I don't recall seeing that one before. I'm not sweatin it though. It'll get here when it gets here. I have plenty of work to do before it arrives so can have time to mess with it when it finally does! I just found it interesting. The only thing I can still cancel is the Premium Care.

It wants you to confirm? I'm just worried if you click on something it messes it up and puts you in the back of the line. With how Samsung is with ordering I'd hate to tinker with any order with them.

cert15z, that's ridiculous that you have to go through all that. I cancelled an order earlier for a friend (She changed her mind on the color) and was able to use her email again the next day. Perhaps it has to clear the system. However I'd try it again.

And I think you have the AMEX Platinum (which is supposed to be the epitome of priority service). It appears they've dropped the ball while jacking up their rates! I have them, but may let them go at renewal time. Anyway good luck!

Opps! My mistake. Apologies. I was misread. It reads CONFIRMED (not "confirm") And you're right I definitely would have been concerned to "confirm" especially since it's not selectible. I don't recall seeing the Confirmed message either.

It's the smart move. The thought has crossed my mind. It will be harder if I have the Note in my hands though. Got a notification that my card was charged. Nothing on shipping yet.

I changed a order today canceled one unlocked and did a new order for a Verizon phone it did push out delivery but no issues with approval for N7 discount

Yes, lucky perhaps or perhaps not as I'm hearing all kinds of updates regarding shipping & receiving. And when I ordered the web page stated delivery on the 15th yet my email reads the 15th. I've got next day delivery so hoping for the 6th (if that rumor holds true). This is fun though. It's sort of like Christmas except you know when Christmas is coming! I wouldn't be surprised if you got yours first I got mine Sept 20th or something crazy! Good luck!

I just checked my Samsung account and it now says order confirmed!! Hopefully I get mine Wed since I paid the extra for overnight shipping. Is there any chance they ship this weekend and we get it on Sunday or Tue?

They aren't going to ship with weekend deliver option. Even let's say they ship today you are only going to get on Tuesday since Monday is holiday.
You can argue you paid for overnight, but it's overnight for weekday delivery only. I can guarantee that

No chance for Sunday but Tuesday is possible if they get labels printed this weekend.

hey did anyine see the promo with T-Mobile where if you buy one Note 8 you cam get the second note 8 for free? im thinking aboit cancelling my order through samsung and ordering through T-Mobile.
