Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Samsung is definitely love hate relationship. Love their products, really dislike company's culture and customer service. Once they have your money they could care less.
 
According to the Best Buy salesman, they had 30 on hand and 10 were still available for preorder or direct purchase on the 15th. So just like a online purchase they are supposed to tag them sold as they sell them. Hope it's all true. Time will tell. Will update tomorrow.
 
I don't believe that about the Verizon model since mine hasn't shipped yet and they said they have no idea when it will

I have empathy that yours hasn't shipped yet but at least I won't kick myself for not ordering the Verizon.
 
If we not getting phone by tomorrow ( release day of Samsung told us ) , so this mean Samsung broken their promised and they careless about their customer and careless about what they said.

As of this moment, no one got change status from PreOrder .

Pretty much, Samsung needs to recompensate us somehow for this. I really don't see any excuse they have for shipping preorders this late

I agree, This is just plain ridiculous. I wouldn't care if I wasn't given a date when I would receive it. I've spoken to them 3 times and I get a different answer. They have no urgency in all this.

Has anyone tried taking this to social media...usually companies are pressed to offer a better solutions when us, the customers, make things more public. This is definitely unacceptable. I ordered mine on the 26th and then had to reorder on Sept, 6th because I never received an order confirmation and it dint go through correctly -__- definitely not my fault and I tried getting the Samsung rep to see if I could get next day delivery for their mistake, and was told they could not do that, but that my phone would arrive without delay by the 14th. That obviously didn't happen. I've called a number of times since and have been told that they will ship out in 1-2 days, that they will ship out in 4-5 days, and that they cannot tell me when it will ship out because of the hurricane. Which one is it. I would not mind waiting longer because of the discount, I JUST WANT AN HONEST ANSWER!

Bingo!!! I spoke with another rep today that ensured me I was going to get my phone today as stated in my email. I informed him that I was still in preorder status, no tracking number, and CC had not been charged. I kindly asked him to just please tell me the truth. I don't care at this point if it's delayed, just tell me when the new delivery date will be.
 
well, it didn't take the quoted 4 and a half hours, but they just called me back. I was told they didn't know why I was told yesterday that my phone would ship today because my order isn't ready to leave the warehouse and they have no idea when it will be shipping out. . . . .
Told me the same. I asked to be upgraded to the warehouse and rep said he didn't know what I was talking about. There was no such thing.
 
right now, if you call customer service, they will told you whatever you want to hear and hang up and do repeat same thing with next call.

I remember during the S8 someone on XDA has an issue and Samsung eventually blocked his phone number.

The reps can send an email to the warehouse regarding your order...I have had reps do that for me. Thats how I was able to update my payment information
 
I can imagine that the reps are pretty fustrated with the hole process too.

I quoted what I read. It said upgraded. I should have asked him to email warehouse but he knew what I meant. I do know my cc was charged so that isn't my issue.
 
I'm in Canada and ordered yesterday. Status is "Preparing Dispatch", and it says the phones start shipping on the 15th. Not sure how long "Preparing Dispatch" is...
 
I left a massage on Samsung's facebook page couple days ago...funny thing someone commented under my comment also raging about the same issue lol

I keep reading all these articles about how well the pre orders are going and i'm just sitting here like, "no, no they aren't" if it was an isolated incident then OKAY, but clearly it's not. I can't really do much but wait to be honest I'm stuck with them because of their promotion.

Hm, thats interesting, I went through the checkout process to see what the ETA was for order placed today and it stated orders placed today would start shipping "the week of September 17th."
 
I ordered 26 Aug, ATT, former Note 7, and still my order is stuck in Preorder, and no response on the delivery update. Shame on you Samsung!! Screw you Samsung!!!!
Lets trend it on the social site. I want to abuse so bad, wish if the mods can let me abuse here. Oh.. I can do that on the Samsung USA facebook page. Bingo!!
 
Yeah I'd never ordered direct so I wasn't sure what was going on since it was packed worse than any other electronic device I've ever purchased. Got the label and sent the trade-in today.

This is a rant thread for vomiting out all the frustrations with the Samsung Note 8 Preoder delay, the customer service and their dubious lies, and the lessons learnt from it.
