I'm trying to connect a GT-15500 to my PC so I can load CWM onto it through Odin. I have installed the drivers through Kies, as well as the generic Android SDK drivers. I have tried everything I can think of and it just won't get recognized by my PC. I've tried it on my PC with Win 7 x64 and another PC running XP.
The phone beeps a lot when plugged in through the USB charging port - likely a loose USB port connection (already) but the phone should have been successfully recognized at least one of the times. I've gotten an error balloon in the tray saying a USB driver couldn't be found once or twice so apparently the device is detected but to why it isn't recognized I cannot figure out.
The only other way I can think to get CWM on is to load it through ROM Manager but I need to have the phone rooted. SuperOneClick would probably work but it needs a PC connection. I've tried z4root, Universal Androot, and Instant Root as they're all APK based rooters. Nothing has worked.
