Samsung Galaxy a42 Notification question

Is there a setting for a continuous flashing notification, even when the screen is dark? You can set the camera or screen to flash when you get a call/text. But the flashing only happens when you actually get the call/text. There's no flashing light for you to notice if you've been away from your phone.

Does it need to be a visual notification? What if you use an audio notification reminder? There should be an option for that in Settings>Accessibility​.

Thanks. That's a good idea. I also found a setting to alert me with a tone every 3 minutes.

You can swipe for a short cut Edge menu. Not sure if it lights up on the Edge. New phone. Haven't figured it all out yet.

I have a friend whos asking me about this too since they went from an old free phone with a LED light to this A42 one. Have you tried aodNotify? it doesn't list this phone as supported but maybe it'd work. Does this phone have an AoD ?
