Samsung Galaxy A5 - Storage/Memory keeps going down randomly.

For the past few days the storage of my A5 (2015) has been going down throughout the day. At one point it'll have 1.1GB then 5 minutes later it'll have nothing. As a result, my apps don't work and I can't use sms, etc. I do remove cache data and have my backed up photos removed everyday. This problem is still persistent. It'll also go up to it's 1.1GB randomly too. The difference between free space and used up space doesn't work out when the storage has gone down to 0. Any help is appreciated.

Have you tried doing a Factory Reset since you have everything backed up

I've been avoiding a factory reset because I still have a lot of songs, contacts and videos I haven't backed up. This has happened once before where I did consider a factory reset but the problem disappeared in 3 days, happened in April. I do need to buy a new phone anyways as this one is nearly 4 years old, but is there a way around it without having to do a factory reset.
