samsung galaxy core prime camera focus problems

Front camera will not focus. Sometimes does. Mostly not. Appears to be related to different focal length options in the frame. Have tried the usual select focal point on screen. Have cleaned all cache. Have tried all resets. Disabling all other apps. Factory reset, etc etc. No joy. Any suggestions...?

Has it always behaved like this, or did it just start recently? Any recent drops or other trauma?

Always. To my knowledge. Bought second hand. No recent drops or signs of damage.
I di find another thread where people were asking about all sorts of camera/focus problems with this model.
It was in trying to reply I ended up registering but then lost the thread.
Try as I might I can't find it again.....

Are you able to compare it to another Core Prime?

If you're in the US, bring it to your local Best Buy and ask the Samsung rep there to look at it.

Haven't come across another yet. Am keen to compare though.
Am in UK. Have asked Samsung about it 4/5 days ago.
Still awaiting reply.....

PS: Bought it in Brasil. 2 different techies took a look and said I needed a camera replacement.
But am still holding out on it being a software issue....
