Samsung Galaxy J7 sync issues (Letscom 115HRPlus/VeryFitPro; sync w/Google Fit to Active Fit

I had a J3 phone up until mid-July, and had no problem getting to sync. Through our insurance, we need to sync Google Fit with our tracker & app (VeryFitPro), and that is then synced to Active Fit (sends the info to the insurance carrier). When I got my J7, it would not sync. Google Fit and Active Fit sync, and you have to have the phone with you for it to read the distance/steps. I want to get my tracker to sync so I do not have to have my phone with me all the time. I have contacted every tech person I can think of at Google Fit, Samsung, Advanta Health Systems (Active Fit), but no one has been able to help so far. Thanks for any help! This is so frustrating.
