mhw100 indicated he had the factory insulted screen protector.
I'm trying to determine if there is a subset of phones that come with this feature.
"Samsung direct Canadian version black 512gb 865+ has the factory protector on it. Made in Vietnam"
Is it Samsung Direct, Canadian version, 512gb, or those made in Vietnam (not sure if all made there)?
Please post if you have factory installed screen protector and where you purchased, carrier, color, memory size and where made.

There is no protector like on the S20 and Note 10. There is a very small thin film protector with a cut-out for the FPS but that's about it.

I just got my 128GB Canadian Note 20 Ultra yesterday, and it has a screen protector on it out of the box. I had to do a double take because I could barely tell. Doesn't have a cutout for the fingerprint reader, but fingerprint reader appears to work fine. Much the same as my daughter's S10e when I got it for a year ago.

So I'll keep it on there for the time being.

Did it include extra sPen tips? headphones? case?

I thought Canadian units were spec'd the same as US as part of the "North American models."

So far we have two Canadian Note 20 Ultras with the factory installed screen protectors.
A 512gb and a 128gb.
How did you order, Samsung, a retailer, or through your carrier?
Can you tell us the build location?
The 512gb was built in Vietnam.

The factory installed screen protector that came (and is still) on my Note 10+ didn't have a fingerprint cutout either.
I think the screen protectors with the cutout for the fingerprint reader are hideous.

I hope we can find a pattern for how to get a unit with the screen protector installed.
I am sure that would be enough protection with the new Gorilla Glass and a decent case with a raised upper a lower edge.

So I picked up my pre-order from Best Buy around 5pm EST. I ordered the Mystic White 128GB. The screen protector was the junk kind that was pre-installed. It's actually not even a screen protector material. It's more of a film. A protective film I would call it. It's a lot rougher of material than what came pre-installed on my Note 10+. The pre installed screen protector on the Note 10 + was actually smooth and clear as if I would buy one online and install it. What came on my Note 20 Ultra is more of a film. It has a tab at the top of the film so you can pull it off. It's rougher in texture. It's definitely NOT meant to be kept on and used long term.

Kind of bonkers. I actually thought the pre-installed screen protectors that came on my Note 10+ was amazing. I tried to keep that on my Note 10 as long as I could until it got pretty marked up. Then I just removed it and put on something else.

Oh well. No Biggie. I didn't get a chance to mess with the phone much but from playing with it for like 30 seconds it's pretty awesome!!!

The Canadian protector is more fully placed than the s20U or note 10. I don't feel the edge swiping up on this one. Not tips or headphones.

So far it looks like it's just Canadian Note Ultras.
I'm not sure if the US and Canadian Notes have same specs.
We don't know if they are unlocked or carrier units.

Who is your carrier?
Samsung has to have some logic to who gets Note 20 Ultra phones with factory installed screen protector.
Maybe it's carrier or address that classifies as Canadian.
At this point it seems only Canadian customers get screen protector.
Unlocked direct from Samsung. Same spec as US ie 865+

The carrier, Roger's, is irrelevant since its direct from Samsung.com.

I have a factory screen protector too. My new Note 20 Ultra arrived yesterday. I just opened the box. 128 GB. Mystic Bronze. Ordered from Samsung Canada online store. When I removed the phone from the box I noticed that the phone's back metal surface was covered with a protective film that I peeled off by pulling the tab. The glass screen however was not protected by the same removable film. At first I was surprised. But a closer look at the screen revealed that it is covered with a screen protector. In the correct lighting the edge of the screen protector is just barely visible about a millimeter from the edge of the curved glass. It can also be felt by running your fingernail along the edge of the phone. I had purchased a Whitestone Dome Glass protector in advance but now I will not install it until the factory protector needs replacing.

I didn't think I had a protector, but then I saw this post. So I just checked mine again and I can feel the protector by using my fingernail along the edges. I got mine in Thailand.

So it looks like the U.S. Note models didn't come with the pre-installed screen protectors?

I had a US AT&T Note 10+ bought from Best Buy that had a pre-installed screen protector on it. I left it on for a time before eventually replacing it with a WSD.

I now have the US Unlocked Note 20 Ultra purchased direct from samsung.com and it most certainly did not have a pre-installed screen protector. It just had a plastic film on the screen with a cut out for the FPS and a very obvious tab at the top to use to pull the film off. It clearly wasn't meant to stay on the screen.
