Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Factory Installed Screen Protector

The carrier, Roger's, is irrelevant since its direct from Samsung.com.

When purchasing on the US Samsung website there is a choice of unlocked or 5 US carrier locked phones.
I see on the Canadian Samsung website there is no carrier choice.
All Canadian phones are probably unlocked.

It appears the Canadian and international units have the factory installed screen protector.
Going on the Canadian website it appears that all those units are spec'd the same as the US units aside from color (they have a mystic green and mystic gray but don't have mystic white).
All their units also seem to be unlocked.
So there is a chance that US purchases from the Samsung website of unlocked Galaxy Note 20 Ultra phones (especially Mystic Bronze or Mystic Black) could also come with a factory installed screen protector.
If they are literally the same phones from the same factory distributed through Samsung direct they probably would go through the trouble of changing the screen protector.
The US carriers probably asked that the screen protectors be removed as they make a lot on those accessorizes in their stores.

Has anyone ordered a Note 20 Ultra from Samsung website (especially Mystic Bronze or Black)?
Did you have the factory installed screen protector?
Check closely because it is such a good fit you may not notice.

I have an unlocked mystic bronze N20U, it does not seem to have a screen protector installed.

Edit: this is U.S. version

Canada, Note 20 Ultra Mystic Bronze 128GB, bought through Carrier (Rogers) it had the factory installed "Screen Protector" but I have no clue why anyone would want to keep it. It's not good quality, if I'm spending over 2k on a phone I want to experience the actual screen not through this crap plastic protector. Kind of a waste in my opinion

Mystic White purchased directly from Samsung. Definitely "no" screen protector on mine. I remember the screen protector on my Note 10+,and it was actually pretty good. I left it on for about 8 months!

Thanks for responding.
I'm not sure if the quality is the same as the factory installed screen protector on the Note 10+.
I thought that was pretty high quality glass and many couldn't tell it was there at all with coverage all the way to the edge of the screen.
The aftermarket screen protectors are very difficult to install on the curved edges of the Note 20 Ultra and still leave area uncovered.

The new Gorilla Glass may make screen protectors unnecessary, but as you note, these are expensive devices and the screen is the most important component.

So far we have two Canadian Note 20 Ultras with the factory installed screen protectors.
A 512gb and a 128gb.
How did you order, Samsung, a retailer, or through your carrier?
Can you tell us the build location?
The 512gb was built in Vietnam.

I ordered through Samsung. Mine says Vietnam.

OMG, I cannot get the factory screen protector off my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ so I can send it back to Samsung as the trade in for my Note 20 Ultra. It's really stuck on there. It's so scratched up that I hesitate to leave it on the phone. I was hoping to deliver the Note 10+ back to Samsung with a pristine screen. Has anyone else had this issue?

I was just able to get it off! I pried up a corner with a thin piece of plastic. : )

It seems everywhere outside the US is getting the screen protector.
I wonder if aftermarket screen protectors are a big thing outside of the US.
The US carriers have more say than those throughout the world.
In just about every other world market all phones are unlocked and can be used on any carrier in that market. In the US manufacturers have to customize a phone for each carrier. Carriers load it with boatyard, cripple the FM radios, and now appear to strip the screen protector so they can sell them in their stores.

Canadian N20U 128GB model. Got mine from my carrier. Came with the factory screen protector, but no extras.

Correct, all Canadian phones are unlocked, and if a carrier lockes them, they can not charge to have them unlocked and can not make the customer go through a waiting period before they can be unlocked.

All Canadian phones are probably unlocked.

I was bummed the Note 20 Ultra didn't come with the factory screen protector. I loved loved loved it on the Note 10+. Only took it off when it was time to send it back for the trade in. It was a fine screen protector. Now I have one on my Note 20 Ultra that has two bubble because I suck at installing screen protectors. : )

I just got my 128GB Canadian Note 20 Ultra yesterday, and it has a screen protector on it out of the box. I had to do a double take because I could barely tell. Doesn't have a cutout for the fingerprint reader, but fingerprint reader appears to work fine. Much the same as my daughter's S10e when I got it for a year ago.

So I'll keep it on there for the time being.

Yes my ROGERS N20U did come with a screen protector pre-installed.

I posted this on another thread about the factory installed screen protector on the Note 20 Ultra...

There is definitely a factory installed screen protector on my Sprint version of the Note 20 Ultra 128 gig. I can feel the ridge around the entire screen about 1mm from the frame. It's difficult to see but I can absolutely feel it, it is exactly like my Note 10+. I don't know if I can get it to be visible in a photo, but I'll try before I send my Note 10+ back to Sprint.
