Yes, it apparently is somewhat "louder and clearer," but it's still coming out of a crappy mono speaker cutout on the back. I listen to music on my Note via headphones or BT streaming, not from the crappy little speaker.

I must have different ears than the rest of you. The 4 was distorting and sounded tinny. I can't wait to get the phone but I am not looking forward to that speaker.

Nice. I try not to listen to music out of the speaker but I am glad it is improved for those desperate times when you really need your tunes.
