I say that's pretty good value considering last year's Note 8 came in $1499 for a 64GB version. Ordered my blue 512 GB version. Not a big fan of the Blue & Yellow combo but got bored with blacky black and feminine copper.

B&H photo seems like the best deal for unlocked model.

Free DEX pad, free new wireless duo charger, can also get the AKG wireless headphones or that useless game points via rebate. Add to that no sales tax collected outside of NY.

Seems to be the best deal currently. I don't consider trade ins as deals since the trade in value Samsung is offering is meh and can get at minimum same price easily and most likely more selling it locally or swappa or many other places.

Only drawback they might not ship until 24th and being on the west coast it's going to take 3-5 days to deliver even on their free express shipping option. I'll wait around couple more days before placing the order to see any other place has better offer. I'm still planning on getting the 512 GB unlocked model.

That does seem to be the best deal I've seen so far.

(On the other hand, B&H Photo faces allegations of wrongful discrimination and abusive working conditions.)

Oy. Here I go again. Waiting for my new phone. Just ordered my Note 9 in Lavender Purple, 128 gb. Trading in my Note 8. I have a 256 gig card in my current Note, so with the 128 internal storage I will be up to at least 330 gigs (subtracting the non-usable card space and the OS internal space). I would say that is quite enough space.

That's not completely true. It depends on the carrier, like Tmobile has no issues

I have an unlocked Note 8 and Oneplus 6 and have no issues with my T-Mobile carrier features. (Volte, WiFi calling, Visual Voice mail ect ect) I think the lack of features depends on your carrier.

US color choices are Ocean Blue and Lavender Purple. My phone will be in a black case so phone color is not important, but I don't like the bright yellow S Pen that comes with the Blue model, so I ordered an unlocked 128GB Lavender Purple Note 9 direct from Samsung. I'm on T-Mobile and I think all the T-Mobile features will work on the unlocked Note 9.

Just pre-ordered my Unlocked Lavender Note 9 (128GB)!
Will be trading in my Note 8 for $400. $400 off is not a bad deal at all.
Hopefully Samsung doesn't screw up shipments like they did with the Note 8

Same model as buying unlocked model from Samsung direct and on T-Mobile it all works fine. One of the advantages of T-Mobile, they don't enforce unnecessary restrictions like it has to be only T-Mobile model for WiFi calling and VoLTE to work. AT&T is bad in this regard.

When I ordered the s8 plus and Note 8 from Samsung.com they didn't charge the card until they were about to ship them!!

Are we getting it shipped over the weekend!!!!

Lol no they aren't shipping until August 20th at the latest. You will be getting on 24th, if it's earlier it's going to be a day or two earlier at max.

Blues - same story with you with every Samsung launch ... I would say relax and don't expect shipping anytime before 20th.

The Note 8 for most was shipped out pretty darn early. I would have had mine really early too but you might recall UPS didn't load it onto the plane in time and then the next morning they flew it to Miami and then it sat there during Irma and for 7 days after that because they had no power. I ended up getting it on Sept 15th because of that.

As far as I recall it didn't ship that early, I have ordered every phone from Samsung direct just like you. Only early were T-Mobile and that as well stopped from couple of releasees ago. So as I told don't expect this early, as I said even if it's early it'll be few days early not early like days after the phone is announced.
You are just setting up yourself for disappointment if you are expecting they will ship this weekend

And I just looked up my Note 8 unlocked order from Samsung direct. Order date August 24th and delivered on September 7th. Week early before release and not like they shipped immediately after announcement.

Unveiled on 23 August 2017, Note 8 is the successor to the discontinued Samsung Galaxy Note 7. It released was on 15 September 2017.

I normally pre-order from T-Mobile, but I was considering Samsung this time, but are you all saying Samsung does not ship early like T-Mobile does?
