Samsung: Galaxy Note 9 Pre-Order Thread

I normally pre-order from T-Mobile, but I was considering Samsung this time, but are you all saying Samsung does not ship early like T-Mobile does?

It varies. Shipping early is never a guarantee so I wouldn't always bank on that.

(Side note - I am studying for my CCNA and want to get my CCNA Security afterwards -- noticed your avatar) .

And I just looked up my Note 8 unlocked order from Samsung direct. Order date August 24th and delivered on September 7th. Week early before release and not like they shipped immediately after announcement.

Unveiled on 23 August 2017, Note 8 is the successor to the discontinued Samsung Galaxy Note 7. It released was on 15 September 2017.

YEa, so it's possible we do get it a week early. I got mine a week late because of Irma. So maybe we will see them next friday or that Monday maybe then.

Remember also they might have wanted to try and get them out before labor day. No holiday this time.

The Note 7 I ordered from Tmobile I only got it a day before release.

Nope, it doesn't gurantee. Only thing for sure is you will receive on or before launch day. Sometimes either carriers or Samsung direct may ship early. Generally now a days they all approximately ship at the same time plus or minus a day or two difference.

Nice . I just bought a home lab (3 switch/3 routers) off eBay. It was pricey but everyone recommends having a home lab so.. we will see!

Verizon shipped a day earlier than everyone else for the Note 8 which was a shocker.

wait for better deals. costco gives extra 2gb per month/life if you have an old data plan like me and its stackable. possible gift card for extra $off and extra accessories for free.

Even ordering through best buy for 100 off is better imho.

Yeah nothing of that applies for US unlocked model atleast. Anything they have is mostly for carrier variants. Only good deal for unlocked model is B&H but you might get the phone a week after release. At this point I don't think there will be any more good deals for unlocked model atleast until after few weeks of launch.

I'm HOPING we get them next Friday. Samsung.com charged my debit card btw this morning. The last two, Note 8 and S8 Plus they didn't charge the card until they were getting ready to print the shipping labels. I noticed they didn't give overnight shipping an option this time.

They could even ship next Friday and the following Monday we get them. I wouldn't mind that as well but I hope it comes really early like the Note 8 did for most.

Oh and I ordered the case with it too, the rugged case. Will that ship with my phone or seperate?

If you go in and pre order now in the cart via samsungs site for att 512 gb model it's saying will ship 9/2 now so no more august dates.

In Australia Samsung are offering trade in $575 on my perfect note 8 for new note 9 at $1499. So $925AU equates to around $676US atm. Still not interested in this incremental upgrade.

As far as I recall it didn't ship that early, I have ordered every phone from Samsung direct just like you. Only early were T-Mobile and that as well stopped from couple of releasees ago. So as I told don't expect this early, as I said even if it's early it'll be few days early not early like days after the phone is announced.
You are just setting up yourself for disappointment if you are expecting they will ship this weekend

I'm just butting in to add that Verizon customers like myself got the note8 on September 5th but onto the subject lol. Yelp I'm just happy I was able to preorder so it will come when it comes. I won't get all bent out of shape unless it past the release date then I'll be hollering where is my note9. Well as Bluesfan says often "I want my note9 and I want it now" lol. Don't internet kill me Bluesfan lol

Actually, I'm planning to cancel my Samsung order and go with Amazon. Being prime member I'll get free two day shipping, or one day shipping for $5.99. And more importantly great Amazon customer service, free new wireless charger duo plus free dex dock and also can get the wireless AKG headphones as rebate. Basically same deal as B&H but with sales tax.

And I successfully cancelled my Samsung order and placed the Amazon order. Dex Pad will be delivered tomorrow and wireless duo charger on Sunday

Phone will ship on 24th but with prime shipping will be there pretty soon so not worried. If they ship early great if not I'm still good with the freebies from Amazon compared to Samsung direct.
