I thought it had to do with CDMA support for Verizon/Sprint in the US anyway. Snapdragon vs. Exynos.

Yes. Qualcomm still holds CDMA patents. I did read somewhere that some new Exynos chips were allowed CDMA, but I don't know what ever came of that.

Joined the site just to hop on this hype train. I ordered the blue unlocked 512gb version the day after pre-orders started in the US. I currently have a Pixel 2XL, with a Pixel 2 before that (which I gave to my girlfriend so I could upgrade hah). The only mobile device from Samsung that I have ever owned was the Galaxy Nexus, which I loved at the time, but certainly has not aged well! I'm not too thrilled with the design choices of the Pixel 3, particularly the possibility of 4gb of ram. I want something a little more future proofed, and I've been interested in Samsung hardware for a while. I'm quite excited for this device! As an android developer I just hope that the Google gods don't smite me for switching haha. I'm not trading in my Pixel 2XL, as I will continue to use it for testing and as a backup device during travel. I hope to see some movement on our orders soon!

One guy got his, and he knew someone at Sprint. The shipping notification seems legit so maybe we will get ours on the 22nd. Shipment today for delivery on 22nd seems like Sprint is using a very slow service.

I think Samsung have some kind of agreement with Qualcomm to use only the snapdragon processors in North America.

It is due to patents for connectivity in the US.

Samsung is great at lagging. Shows up in their phones, shipping, updates and customer service. LOL. Why do they have to be the last in line? They create the damn things FFS.

I go to https://orderfind.com which is a digitalriver site where you can lookup orders. I ordered both the Galaxy Watch and Note 9. Separate orders. Only the watch shows up. No phone. Anyone else have this problem? Should I be concerned? Everything still looks fine on Samsung site.
