Sweet, so they basically let you know they are shipping tomorrow night. I know, I know, never trust the reps, etc. but it fits what others have been saying. Glad yours isn’t snaggedI got the same status so I contacted Samsung. Basically it must be a glitch, rep says mine is estimated to ship August 19th.

Unfortunately it shows backordered online for me too. I'm only extra irritated because I went thru the reservation process and pre-ordered on the 9th while people ordered days later thru their carrier and will be getting theirs way earlier it appears. Just seems like terrible serviceIf I go to the app it says backordered, when I got the website it still says pre-order.
I'm pretty livid. I "reserved" my preorder, then pre-ordered the first night possible (before you could thru the carriers), and I'm backordered? That's pretty messed up if people ordered after the fact thru carriers and get theirs on time. first world problems I know, but it's the principal in the matter
Like I said in the past, it seems it isn't first come first served like you would think.
Have anyone notice on the Samsung website the price have went down its was originally 999 for 128 gb not it’s 924 and the 512gb is 1,156.24

Just talked with Samsung again. Was told I can still expect my shipment by the 24th. They are shipping from several different warehouses and the order will say backordered until it ships. I ordered the 512gb ocean blue Tmobile variant
Interesting... I ordered the same thing, only unlocked, and mine says “preorder” rather than “backordered.” I wonder if carrier-branded vs. unlocked accounts for this difference between our orders.
