I got the same status so I contacted Samsung. Basically it must be a glitch, rep says mine is estimated to ship August 19th.

Sweet, so they basically let you know they are shipping tomorrow night. I know, I know, never trust the reps, etc. but it fits what others have been saying. Glad yours isn’t snagged

If I go to the app it says backordered, when I got the website it still says pre-order.

Unfortunately it shows backordered online for me too. I'm only extra irritated because I went thru the reservation process and pre-ordered on the 9th while people ordered days later thru their carrier and will be getting theirs way earlier it appears. Just seems like terrible service

I'm pretty livid. I "reserved" my preorder, then pre-ordered the first night possible (before you could thru the carriers), and I'm backordered? That's pretty messed up if people ordered after the fact thru carriers and get theirs on time. first world problems I know, but it's the principal in the matter

Well I wouldn't care that much of we're talking a couple days difference. But the term "backordered" is concerning. There's no reason I should be looking at a true delay if I went thru the reservation and early preorder process. A difference of a couple days is understandable. But being grouped into the "too many ordered, gotta wait a week or more longer" batch is just bad service considering the promo they had with the reservation

Have anyone notice on the Samsung website the price have went down its was originally 999 for 128 gb not it’s 924 and the 512gb is 1,156.24

That's the school discount price that went down another $30 or so. Mine did too. I emailed them about a price match since I paid more but they didn't respond. Been like 3 days. Wtf

For the earphones and the case I ordered it now has a track order button but still no tracking info because no label has been printed yet. The actual phone still has no track button but as before I can't cancel it anymore. Has anyones back account been hit yet? Nothing on mine since that test charge they did and then refunded a few days ago.

This happens every time though it seems with certain versions delayed shipping.

Just talked with Samsung again. Was told I can still expect my shipment by the 24th. They are shipping from several different warehouses and the order will say backordered until it ships. I ordered the 512gb ocean blue Tmobile variant

No more cancel order button , and headphone show In Progress ...

But headphone and Note9 order are the same nunber order. I think they just boxed for both at same box but system havent update yet ...

I got hit pretty quick when I ordered. That's just a hold to see you got the funds. That shoudl come off in a few days.

I ordered through my carrier (AT&T) and mine hasn't changed at all. It still shows in progress and hasn't charged my account either. I have checked like 300 (exaggeration) times a day since the 10th and it's been the exact same each time.

Interesting... I ordered the same thing, only unlocked, and mine says “preorder” rather than “backordered.” I wonder if carrier-branded vs. unlocked accounts for this difference between our orders.

Might be. Greg aka greggles pre ordered 512gb unlocked and his isn't back ordered. I think carrier ones are the ones with issues due to more people wanting the carrier ones and carriers getting a chunk of them as well.

Other poster said they ship from various warehouses. Here in Florida mine have always shipped from Digital River in Indiana.
