I have the same shipping progress, it’s back in Indy. My guess is Samsung told Fedex to hold, for a Friday delivery.

Yea, this is stupid. Espeically if you wait until Friday for delivery which means some will get it on Monday due to any delays like weather or traffic reasons. People will be mad.

People can you not wait one more day? You all are acting like children. Fedex will fly shipments to their destination tonight. FedEx will not usually deliver a package early regardless of Samsung. 2 day shipping means what it implies -- 2 day shipping!

The fact that it’s in Memphis has nothing to do with Samsung. FedEx operates a major hub in Memphis, and I bet that shipments to the southeast US (you’re in Florida, right?) go through Memphis before reaching local hubs in that region.
I live near Detroit, which is a Delta Airlines hub. When I fly to San Jose, I usually have to make a connection through the Delta hub in Minneapolis. That’s just how it works... there aren’t necessarily direct flights from every city to every other city.
I wish My note was held hostage By Indiana like you all's note. Samsung finally just processed my cancellation of first order so hopefully they finally get to my second order soon and send it out.
I think your best deal is going with Samsung since they will give you $400 off UP FRONT and you only pay $850 for the 512gb. Verizon had or has a BOGO but you have to add a line i think. $400 for Note 8 is decent since you can't get much more on the auction sites and then have to pay shipping/fees/taxes.
I am with Tmobile and they are giving $500 for a bunch of phones via bill credits so I went with that and am giving my Note 8 to my wife
Best not to try and apply logic to the shipping companies. They have none. LOL

I dont, If they had a hold the tracking would reflect a Friday delivery date and in the details you would see something like "Shipper Hold" in the details.
