Samsung galaxy s10 voice to text not working during a call

I used to be able to send a voice text while in the middle of a phone call. Then I changed to the Galaxy S10 and not I can't do that. I changed the settings to have Google set as default but is still does not work. What am I missing?

If you're on a voice call, you want to have a seperate transcript to send as a text message from the same microphone?

Welcome to Android Central! What previous phone did this work on? It seems to me that it'd be problematic, since the phone would be using the microphone during the entire call -- so your messaging app wouldn't be able to take over using the mic for the text dictation.

Yes that's correct. I used to do it for years. I would be on a phone call and use voice to text a reply to a separate text message while on the phone. Then once I send the message I resumed the phone call. Just stopped working for no reason

Are you on Android 12 ?
If so go to settings>privacy>permission Manager>is it listed under microphone?

Yes, on 12. Is what listed under microphone? (See screenshot) The voice to text works fine, just not while on a phone call, which it used to do just fine.

It's possible they changed this and not allow anymore.
