Thanks for pointing that out. I was wondering what the update was about and HAVE experienced the random lockups and rebooting you described. Hoping for the best and looking forward to an eventual JB update in the near future.

Thank you. i was wondering what just updated on my wifes phone since it was still reading 4.0.4.
We were hoping it was jellybean since other SII already got updated by other carriers.

Dang ATT get with the system and update the dang phones...

Well atleast she will be happy if this actually fixed the random dead phone...

Exact information I was looking for -- thank you. Time will tell on the fix which my S2 definitely needed. I see Sprint has released the Jelly Bean update for their version of the S2 so hopefully AT&T gets shamed into it soon...

Wow, I am suprised that some are thinking that we will get JB. I don't understand why AT&T would do all these small fixes if we were getting JB. I hope I am wrong and we get JB.

LMAO! Rare Occasion???

I would have rooted and gone with a new ROM but there are so many link and methods, I have no idea which way to go. I've also never been able to clearly understand if all my apps get wiped out. One day I'll figure it out.

It's about time, AT&T! I've been dealing with this issue for six months - missing important calls and messages. And "rare occasion, yeah right! Try 5 to 6 times daily.

The good news, I downloaded the update on Friday and have not experienced any unresponsive idle or shutdowns.

Too little too late for me. First I rooted and loaded CM 10.1, then my workplace informed me that we can't have work email on rooted phones, pushing me to make my work-issued iPhone 5 my primary phone. And now I actually really LIKE my iPhone 5.

Congrats Samsung/AT&T, your ridiculous delay in fixing your broken phone just made me an iOS convert. Great customer retention there.

In case you can't tell, I've REALLY soured on Samsung over the past year. Doesn't help that this phone will never even see Jellybean via an official update.
