On my rooted s3 whenever I'm on the lock screen next to the carrier EE is a line of @ symbols. When I swipe down the notification Centre it's in there aswell. Anyone know why and how to remove it.

Stock rooted? Which firmware? Stock lock screen or 3rd party?

Are you runnung the stock 4,1,2 ROM or a custom ROM?

On a stock phone, that row will show the carrier, but unless you're runnung a custom ROM that changes that i don't know where a;; the @@@ are coming from.

It looks to me like the carrier (EE) has screwed that up.
What does it show under Network in Settings -> About phone -> Status?

Well, beats me - you'll have to check with some other EE users.
I find it hard to believe that rooting caused this issue, but if you can find another EE user with the same model S3 you'll be able to see if this is normal behavior or limited to your rooted version.

I figured it out. Its the market unlocker app Used in conjuction with freedom app. By Changing the market to Russian so the freedom app works for some reason makes all them @@@@@@@ appear
