Re: Msg "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped"

Hi Folks,

I've got this message poping up all the time now, along with Unfortunately, Google Play services has stopped. My phone has also stopped sending messages, it receives messages and calls, though they may be delayed.

I've tried;
*removing then re-adding my google account
*app manager, reset app preferences
*app manager, all, download manager/google play/google play services clear cache/data
* i then read somewhere it could be to do with low memory so i've put some apps on my sd card, system storage 1.65gb used out of 1.97gb

I tired to back up via samsung kies (not sure if this has been replaced by samsung link) but wouldn't back up everything so I'm looking a solution without factory reset if possible?

The phone i have is a Samsung Galaxy S2.

Any help would be appreciated, this is really starting to melt my head!!!! :confused:

Go to settings then application manager and go "all" tab and scroll all the way to bottom click on "download" and enable it :)

Thanks so much. Worked for me on my galaxy s4.

Re: Msg "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped"

Hi Manpreet, hope you must have resolved your problem b know,...since I saw ......thought of sharing the resolution....I had the same problem with my samsung S3, with my contacts, "unfortunately.......".........the constant message pop up even if I try to use contacts and my dial pad as same connected to contacts.....

Now what I understand is that last night I was trying to close my applications to save on with my battery life....now I disabled my contacts along with other applications like s suggest etc....to restart the same go to settings....application manager......slide it to the right "all" go extreme down, there you see the applications which has been disabled....now enable the one which is giving you trouble...or else you can try one at a time ....you know the method of elimination....try to enable the most suitable first and hope that you get it resolved...I got my thing resolved and all my contacts were saved as well....hence thought of sharing....till then all the very best....regards....Amarjit Singh
