Hello, I made an account on this forum just to find help because I absolutely don't know what to do. There are hundreds of forum posts regarding an s4 that keeps booting or that randomly boots but none of the mentioned solutions helped.

The problem:

My samsung galaxy s4 (GT-I9505) which is a few months old, didnt have any issues at all untill today. So what happend is that I noticed that my phone was charging very slowly, and every time I started it up. I lost like 2% of battery. I tried different chargers, charging from 2 different pcs, even using different power sockets, it didnt work. In the end, my phone was at 1%, and it suddenly turned off and then turned on again. Because it only had 1% left, it turned off again and it kept doing this in a loop. I removed the battery, but as soon as I put it back in, it keeps looping. When I charge it, it keeps looping, and I really dont know what to do. I cared really well for my phone, I didnt leave it in hot places, it never touched water, and I carefully checked if the port contained dust and if any metl part were bent (they werent). Also, my phone feels really hot when it is looping

What can I do?! please help me I am really desperate

Welcome to Android Central! Have you tried a new battery?

1. At 1%, it barely has enough power to turn off.

2. Charge the battery in an external charger. http://www.amazon.com/Neewer-Univer...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU5140694 has saved a lot of "you can't bring that one back to life" "dead" batteries for me and it's less than $5. If it won't charge, you need a new battery (which is just over $10 for a good one - Anker). If it charges, but still does the same thing in the phone, it could be short in the motherboard.

Thanks, yes I have tried a new battery, I resetted my phone and used my mom's battery (she has the exact same phone but had the same issues aswell, she sent her phone back and something got replaced and it works again). I charged that battery on that other phone, and when it was charged I placed it in my own phone. It seemed to work, but when I wanted to charge the phone again when it was at 19%, the exact same problem started again :S

@Rukbat My mother has the same phone, and I charged her battery, placed it in mine, and checked if it worked. It booted normally and stuff, but when I tried to charge I had the same problem

Sounds like a short somewhere in your phone. (Not really something you can troubleshoot without actually having the phone.)

Try pulling the sd card! There have been reports of shorted memory cards. Can't hurt to try!

Update:
My phone is doing absolutely nothing. Black screen, won't start, won't charge, nothing. I tried removing the battery, different charger, Removed sd card, nothing worked.

Im going to send it back because it's getting ridiculous now

Probably the best move. It's starting to sound like a problem with the motherboard.

Update: My dad somehow managed to let the screen work, he tried to charge my phone but after 2 hours it was still saying ''0 %'', so it definitely doesnt work now. It is being sent back today, so this thread can be closed (I dont know if this is how forums work but whatever lol) thanks for everyone replying here and helping me.

No need to close the thread, in case you or anyone else want to comment in the future. Hope the replacement doesn't give you any problems!
