Samsung Galaxy S4 - phone unlocks when fully charged

I have my phone protected using the pattern requirement.

Normally when the screen times out password protection kicks in and requires you to draw the pattern to unlock it. However if it's plugged in and reaches fully charged the phone unlocks itself.

Why does it do that and how do I disable that?

Wow, no one has a clue? Well I think I figured it out.

With my near field sensor turned on when the phone finished charging it sensed the charge cord and turned itself on. It also disabled the password protection. After I disabled the near field sensor it doesn't disable the password anymore. It still turns on but at least it's on the password request screen.
