Samsung Galaxy S4 SD Card Problem

Add me to the list of people having an issue with the sd card. With my phone, when I look at the storage section under Settings, it says I need to insert an sd card. I knew I hadn't removed it, but pulled the back cover off to confirm. This is a 16g card that either came with the phone or was moved to it from the Bionic. So now what do I do?? If it's not recognizing the sd card being there, I'm not sure how to get any files off of it onto my pc.

I have a card issue. I have a 64 GB micro SD HC card for my Galaxy S4. I tried to put the music from my previous card on this new card. My previous card is 32 GB and is full. The music went on the card but when I put it in my phone only a few albums showed up, even though when I look at the card on my computer all of the music is listed. The card is a no name card but I thought it really didn't matter. Am I incorrect? Do I need a particular card? I'm hesitant to purchase another card if I'm not sure if it's the card causing the problem. Anyone have any ideas?

Hmm I've had experiences with fake SD cards where they were unlabeled besides their storage size. My dad bought a few before for cheap online. They said they were 64GB, but they were really about 4GB. They were unlabeled too.

Technically the phone should be able to use any SD card brand, but for your card, if it has no brand at all, then I would think about considering a new card. There's a test you can download and perform with an app called h2testw where you can see how large the card really is on tie computer.

Does anyone know of an app or software that can get these pictures back? Desperate to have the photos I lost because of this. Thanks.

I am having the same kind of problem. I bought a no name 128 GB card off of Ebay. I have formatted the card on the phone. When I add music it will all work fine until I eventually hit a wall. At some point one of the albums will say that the media player can't play that format. Once it says this I can no longer add any music. If I do it usually shows up as Unknown, or it will download on my phone and be really glitchy, or it will download on the phone and work for an hour or two and then it will say the phone doesn't support that format. If I take a picture it goes to my SD card and it immediately erases the picture or at least makes it unviewable. I just need to know if I need to shell out the $60 to get a real Samsung class 10 card or if this is some other issue.
