Samsung Galaxy S5, why does it charge only in Ultra Power Savings Mode?

Samsung Galaxy S5 charges only in "Ultra Power Savings Mode"

Hello everyone!

My wife recently washed her phone and by accident got some water inside (water indicator in the back is red). Since then the phone didn't want to charge! It starts charges for a second then stops.

We have been swapping batteries since I also have a GS5 but it's been really annoying.

I thought the charging module had been damaged but just yesterday by accident she found out she could charge it if the phone is in "Ultra Power Savings Mode".

This is very strange, any thoughts on why this is happening or how I can fix it?

Hi, do a Google search for Rukbat and his guide, "oh no my phone got wet". That might help but it could be too late.
