Samsung Galaxy S6 AT&T made a noise then screen went black, what can I do?

Samsung Galaxy s6 active Made at&t noise then screen went black

My brand new s6 active made the at&t noise then the screen went black and don't come back. The screen is still touch responsive and makes noise. The only thing that won't come on is the display. I've tried soft resetting and tried to bring up the dos menu. I'm waiting for it to completely lose battery before trying anything else. I've removed the SD card in fear of losing my stuff while I'm trying to fix it. I'm assuming there was an update and the display isn't activated but every website I go to is either telling me sobering wrong to bring up the reset menu when the diddly doesn't work or I'm doing something wrong. If it's an update error then should the menu still show in the display if the display isn't activated, or is there a way I can do this from my laptop?

Welcome to Android Central! If it's brand new, don't waste any time and bring it back to the store for a replacement.

Yea, if this device is still new I'd take it back to the place of purchase for a exchange asap. Just sounds like your display went out. My standard S6 64gb display decided to go 3 weeks after I got it.
