So my understanding was that Qualcomm had set up their processors to be able to detect your voice when the screen is off. I use that feature more than I thought I would and it's super useful. Since Samsung is no longer using the Snapdragon, does anyone know if they've been able to keep that feature in the Exynos?

I'm sure this is a software thing and not a hardware thing

No, I'm pretty sure it's a hardware thing. that's why Motorola had to modify the chipset for the original Moto X to have the 'always listening' feature before it became integrated with later Qualcomm chips (I think starting with the 801).
