Samsung Galaxy S7 froze up now won't start

[Android Central Question]

Phone froze up on me a couple times last night but I managed to get it started again. Now today it froze up and will not start up again.
I had to do the hard reset (Vol down + Power) which only got me to the Samsung Logo then the screen went black, the blue LED is on and it is not responding to anything.

I haven't downloaded an app in a week and the last system update was 2 or 3 weeks ago. I have no idea what would have triggered this issue or how to start my phone again.

Welcome to Android Central! Unfortunately, the blue LED light is often a bad sign. The battery might have died, or worse yet, the motherboard. Does anything happen if you press and hold Power for about 20 seconds?

You may have to bring the phone to a repair shop for further diagnosis.

No you can hold any combination of buttons for as long as you want and nothing happens.
Sounds like I am the proud owner of a paperweight.
