i've encountered a very confusing problem on my galaxy S9+ recently. I recently got this phone handed down to me in a very good condition, been using it for abt 2 months without any problems. i also took very good care of it - never dropped it, no scratches on the screen. it worked fine - till recently. I was using it as per normal, going thru instagram and texting. I set it down for abt a few minutes or so, and when i picked it up, the screen started to behave very weirdly
The screen doesn't register any taps, and would only register an input if i left my finger there for abt a second or so. I cld tell that it wasn't the screen's issue, cuz when i lifted my finger and tapped on any other part of the screen, it would register the tap. However, after abt a second, it would stop registering any taps, and i would have to put my finger there for another second for it to register any input.
This issue made typing very very difficult, cuz i had to press down each letter for a second for it to work. ( note that i dont need to press down very hard, i just need to leave my finger there for a second ). I didnt install anything new recently, the most recent thing being samsung's software update.
note that i did try restarting the phone, doing a factory data reset, removing my sim card and SD card, rebooting the phone into safe mode, rebooting the phone into recovery mode and wiping the cache partition. and even through everything the problem still persists. does anyone have any other suggestions or any way for me to fix this problem?
