Samsung GT-S6310L Camera failed?

I have a Samsung GT-S6310L. Recently the camera app has started displaying a "Camera Failed" message every time I try using it. Clearing the data & Cache Partition do not work and a factory reset only temporarily resolved the problem. Apps that have permission to use camera are Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and Vine. Please help!

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have any flashlight apps installed? Those also control the camera, and can sometimes mess it up. Uninstall it and see if the problems persist.

It's also worth uninstalling all apps that have Camera permissions, then seeing if the problem persists. If not, then reinstall those apps one by one, trying the camera multiple times between installations, and see if and when the problem recurs.
