Samsung keyboard issues on Oreo

Since updating to Oreo, I am having issues with the default keyboard (Samsung Keyboard) on my AT&T Note 8.

Whether using tap typing or swype typing, the focus keeps moving in the middle of me typing. So in the middle of typing a word and the new letters suddenly show in the wrong place so instead of ABCDEFG, it might be ABEFGCD.

It happens with multiple words too. So ABCD 123 ZXY might be ABZXYCD 123 or something.

I will attempt a new keyboard if I have to, but wondering if there are other thoughts.

I've been having very similar issues on my Tmobile Note 8 since the update. It's not consistent but very irritating at how often it does occur. Mine usually resets to the beginning of a sentence midway through the sentence so when I type "ABCD 123" it might give me "D 123ABC". Super frustrating. Let me know if you solved the issue.
