Samsung messaging app

I've tried 3rd party apps, and even Hangouts, but I really like the stock messaging app. Only problem, it's slow in the area of transition. Is there a setting or a tip that anyone knows of to make it smoother?

What do u mean slow? I use it and have not experienced slowness... Do you mean when opening the app? Or what specifically?

Hmmm not sure...make sure u clear ur running apps every so often to make ur phone run faster

If you have a lot of messages in that conversation it takes longer to load.

ditto on this. This is the only thing that I found that causes any slowness at all.

I had a message that contained a lot of full size pictures. I noticed it slow to load that thread.
Deleted all but the last message and boom! instant msg app.

I have disabled the stock msg app, and now using Go Pro SMS with SwiftKey. A combo that is really great.

Apparently, stock just isn't for me. I don't want to have to delete messages in order for it to work. Hangouts is lightning-fast, so that's what I'll use.

Using developer options to cut animations in half helps dramatically in my opinion. I keep them all @ .5.

After the new update when I try to text a picture my gallery is not an option anymore. The could pictured automatically pop up . This is on my galaxy s6 is anyone else having that problem?
