Samsung Note 5 update locked my phone, how can I get back into my phone?

SAMSUNG NOTE 5 UPDATE / Locked my phone?!

I had an update this morning for Marshmellow on my Samsung Note 5.
The boot up screened appeared 3 times, and now when I enter my pattern / back up pin, it tells me it's incorrect. I use this pin EVERYDAY, I know it's correct.. What's going on?
Tried calling Samsung, and my carrier(Sprint). All just want me to factory reset.
Anyway around this, I have a lot of pictures and things I'd like to keep on this device.

Hello!
I would try logging into your Google Account on a PC and then go to Android Device Manager (https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager). From there you can setup a new password and GPS/Locate your device.

I'm dealing with this too since 7 am this morning - Device manager is useless since there was/is already a lock code on the phone - "since we detected a lock code already on the device, we won't change the code"

and this time around there's no option to use google account login to get in.
