On my new Samsung Note 8 I xferred everything over to the new Note 8 then realized that I had too much junk so I did a factory reset.

That may or may not be the cause, but now I see two iterations of my personal ringtones however when I search the phone via my computer I can only find one of each tone. Any idea of how to get rid of these "ghost" listings?

Moved from the Verizon Galaxy Nexus forum to the Note8 forum.

When u click both ringtones do they both play or only one of them does?
It might be saved in 2 locations. The SD card and the phone storage.

The only downside of the note 8 being a little heavier is physics, the heavier the phone, the harder the hit when it falls on the ground, the harder the hit, the more likely broken screen/back.

I for one like the size and weight of the phone, but I can see how some would think it's too heavy. I am the opposite, I hate phones that are light, to me they feel cheap.

I'm curious about this as well. I came from my N4 and transferred everything over from it along with ringtones I've had/used for years. Many of them show up as doubles and some even 4 times. When I tap on any of them while trying to choose a sound for anything on my phone, they all sound. I've tried without success, to find the ghost sounds.

This. Search both root directories on your card and phone and delete one of the instances.
