In samsung notes app My writing is randomly highlighted after i press "save". I just got my note8 2 days ago.
Wondering if this is software or hardware problem.
Samsung Notes can sense if what you wrote is a phone number, web page url, or email address. Iam wondering if your math formulas are confusing it.
Try tapping on the blue outlined text and see what Samsung Notes thinks it is.
On mine, if I tap the number it the page changes to a lined notpad look and the number isn't recognized as a phone number. However, if I get back out of the note and bring it up again, it links to a phone number (turns blue) and I have to hover over it with the Spen to get the phone option.
Any thoughts?...
My theory is.......
If someone gives you a phone number/website/email address it's likely that you are not going to use it there and then, so you write it down and save it, after all, if you're in a hurry, you'll just jot a note down with the pen and screen off.
If you were going to use it there and then, you would just type it in, not write it.
Does that make sense?
To me it's the only reason I can think of why you have to save your note and return to it to enable the 'action memo'
Makes total sense and I agree with you, however, I's still wondering why my note turns into a 'sheet of lined paper' when I tap on the number and I lose the ability to link it.
Ok now to my next theory lol...
If you go to your saved note, hold your pen over it and if it's actionable (Is that even a word!l)it will turn blue and the action icon that it will perform comes after the writing.
So don't hit the writing, hit the icon that comes when you hold your pen over it.
If you hit the writing, it turns into edit mode, hence the lines.
