I just set up samsung pay last night. I only have one card, U.S. bank, that works with it.
It's a chip card, I've tried in 2 different places and been unsuccessful.
The first place was my fault, I forgot to turn on nfc.
The second was a local grocery store, they have chip enabled card readers.

Would that be why it didn't work n.a.
Not impressed so far.

Neither should matter. My CC is a card chip and I used it 4x today without a hiccup.

I use it a lot, and find it very persnickity. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I would guess about 50/50.

I use it all the time with chip readers and regular terminals. Seldom have a problem. Have Amex and 2 Visa cards loaded. Lots of folks, including me, can't seem to get Amex and Walmart to work together, but Visa works fine there. Anxiously waiting for Discover to be supported.

I was having problems with my transactions being declined.and it turned out to be my bank hadn't activated my card properly. After deleting and re-adding my card and having it activated again it works just fine. Try calling your bank and making sure it is properly authorized in their system.

My card works fine as a card. It's only with samsung pay that it has yet to work.

As the poster above you said, call the bank and make sure the card is authorized correctly for Samsung Pay.
