Samsung Pay for Verizon Note5 available in play store

I was able to install Samsung Pay, but when I run it, it immediately starts to download an update. After about 30 seconds, I get a dialog indicating that the update failed and to try later. This s has been continuing since yesterday.

I uninstalled Lux - which I understand can stop the update, but something else seems to be stopping the install.

Anyone have an idea what's keeping it from installing?

I have a Verizon 64gb Note 5.

I have vzw 64gb and can't find in store. If I hit that link it says item not found.

Have you used Package Disabler to disable any apps?

I can only speak from my own experience. Once I uninstalled Lux I still wasnt able to update until I did a factory reset. I am guessing that Lux left something there that was still a problem. That is what I had to do to get SP working, you may or may not also have that issue.

So I installed Samsung Pay from Play store this weekend. At the time of installation it also installed VZW framework. I was able to set it up just fine and add cards.

I have package disabler installed with a LOT of stuff disabled...doesnt seem to be making a difference for me though I might not have disabled that 'one package' that is needed.

I also used it today with no issue whatsoever... Of course the checkout lady was stunned... Expression priceless.

2 issues that I have right now:

1) I can not swipe up to bring up cards. Screen needs to be on. It doesn't need to be unlocked, just on. I thought I could do it on screen off but for some reason that is not working for me. I am on Nova launcher... So not sure if that has anything to do with it.

2) I added a citi card and Amex card. I accidentally removed finger print lock from my phone so it removed all cards from Samsung pay. I went back to Fingerprint lock and added my citi card just fine and used it. However, it won't let me add my Amex card...keeps saying 'registration failed.'

Any advice on these 2 issues?

I don't get it.

I have Verizon. I have not got the update. I cannot use the link provided. What have I missed here?

The link has now worked for me. However now I get this message saying I need software update and yet I have no update. Haven't had it at all.

I use Package disabler but I restored all apps back and attempted to update with no luck.

Nothing new on my end. Still am not able to see the S-Pay app in the Play Store nor can I get there from the links provided. I'm confident I'll get something before the day is over.

If you previously sideloaded Samsung Pay the Samsung Pay Framework is causing the error when it tries to update. Samsung Pay Framework cannot be deleted, so you have to factory reset your phone. Mines worked after the reset.

My Note5 now has Samsung Pay, and I"ve used it several times without any issue.

My son has an S6 edge, he sideloaded Samsung Pay, couldn't get it to work, did a factory wipe, and he now has Samsung Pay which has worked repeatedly on his device.

Hope this may help some people.....

So after he Factory wiped it, did the Update come through for him? Or, did the app just appear in the Play Store at the right time? I had sideloaded it previously but never used it because my card wasn't supported (just wanted to see if it would load on my device).

You are referring to using a downloaded separate apk or the link that was on here to the playstore?

I was able to download the app finally using link provided here but still no update from Verizon although I am hearing it's today at noon supposedly.

I wasn't able to install Samsung pay until today. It was an odd install, however. I tried several days ago and it seemed to install OK. When I ran it I kept getting a message that the update failed and to try again later. At the same time that message appeared asking what program to use: package installer or one other (Avast??). I tried using package installer, but it failed to install. However, today, it did install. I got the "Update failed" message, but ignored it and selected the package installer to install it. It worked this time, and I was able to add a credit card.

That was before I updated the latest Verizon update available today.
