Samsung Pay Start Charging CC Companies

That is true but last 2 years it's been put on customers now to pay that and my business is one of them .
That has always been an option for the merchant. I'm sure most of us have seen the price signs on the highway at truck stops and gas stations where the price per gallon is one thing if you pay cash, and higher if you use a credit card. Everything can be pushed down to the consumer if the merchant wants to do that.

Yes but your seeing more of it now

It's actually illegal over here in the UK to charge an extra fee if a customer pays by card.

Which probably just means general prices are slightly higher. It's always the end customer who pays one way or another.

I don't remember the last time I was inside a gas station. Then again I buy gas at Costco which only accepts credit cards from Costco members.

When you need diesel, your fueling choices are a bit more spread-out 😉 Plus, I've gotta get my iced tea, so I'm walking in 😎

It will be passed along to credit card owners like what's happening in most places here in NY. You pay with card they charge you a fee...same with gas .. restaurants and other businesses...

All costs are always borne by individuals. Anything from a business' utilities, taxes/tariffs, service fees, etc. will always be passed along to one or more individuals. It's most obvious in the form of increased consumer prices, but can also happen as lower wages and lower investment returns.

Yes it will. Places around me have it built into their pricing formula as I’m sure most businesses do. The prices never went down when business started charging the fee. So most people see it double dipping.

I had a $2,000 bill at a local business and called and said I could pay over the phone since I drive truck and could get them paid quickly. They informed me the 4% charge and I said I’ll bring cash down when I get home. I paid them in mixed $5 and $10 dollar bills. Petty, maybe , but it was an inconvenience to me so I believe in fair play.

These fees are the reason I tell people don’t push for no cash and all electronic payment’s. Look at what’s happening now, fees to use them, it’ll only get worse.
