Samsung S21 Ultra media sound stereo?

Hello all, I have searched for this issue but can't find anything on it.

I have no issues with hearing ppl while on a call. but when I listen to music I only hear sound coming from bottom speaker. If I cover bottom speaker with my finger I don't hear anything while playing music. If there a setting I am misisng?

Welcome to Android Central.

No setting for mono or stereo sound. Just a couple of questions though;

What is the source of your music?

Have you tried from other sources or apps?

What if you record something, do you get the same result?

When you say you can hear the person on the phone do you have to do anything like turn the volume all the way up or strain to hear them?

Have you turned the volume all the way up and checked your volume manager to see what volume level each item is at? Media, call, notification etc. You do this by pressing the volume button then the three dots to expand the pop-up to see all of the items.

If you go to Samsung members app you can test out the top ear piece and bottom speaker , also is it one music app or more? Can try safe mode but it didables 3rd party apps , not sure for YouTube , but sometimes going in that mode and out clears little bugs up . Another thing is try a cache clear in recovery.

Thanks everybody! Mustang, just wanted to say going into safe mode worked!! I can now hear in stereo with upper speaker so loud and clear. I always thought the bottom speaker sounded great since I got my phone but now the phone sounds 1000% better, thanks!!
