Samsung S5. I hold Volume Down + Power + Home, get to the warning about a custom OS, etc. i'm STUCK at that screen.

Only options are:
1. Volume UP to continue - but nothing happens.
2. Volume DOWN - resets the phone, not what I need. Since it's bricked on the Samsung logo screen (loops).

Again: The Volume up button DOESN'T HAVE ANY EFFECT. The screen doesn't change. I cannot enter Download mode to work with Odin.

Please Help!

Welcome to the forums. What happened to cause this? Were you trying to root the device or something?

Yes, exactly. This was attempted some months ago with no success.

Currently the phone is bicked, in a constant loop at the Samsung S5 logo screen. It just reboots by itself.

That was me before creating an account.

Yes. I'd like to enter Download mode - or any mode - that allows me to move forward and use ODIN to restore the firmware. I've already got the latest version of the firmware downloaded in my computer and the latest odin tool.

I get to that screen yes. volume up to continue & volume down to restart.

Volume up doesn't have any effect, only volume down, obviously restarts the phone to the same logo-loop.

Thank you guys!

You may need to consider a JTAG service. With the inability to get into download mode, forcing a new ROM or recovery would be rather difficult.
