Samsung S7 Edge: Frieds cards?

Hello guys

i am considering purchasing a Sandisk Ultra 128GB SD Card for my S7 EDGE

But, i read so many reports that people got fried cards from their Samsung Galaxy phones, and most of them were Sandisk, whats your recommendations?

Also Sandisk Ultra is 80mbps read and 20mbps write, will that be enough for 4k vid? Or maybe i should get a Sandisk Extreme?

I'm looking at the Samsung Evo+ 64 GB, Sandisk Extreme Pro 64GB and the Sandisk Extreme 64GB too, im not sure if the r/w speed matters a lot on the phone

My first Galaxy was the S3. Great phone, but it destroyed the first sd card then acted screwy with the 2nd one for the remainder of the time I had it. Two different brands of cards. I'm on my second S7 Edge because the first had terrible issues with the 64GB sd and it is SanDisk brand.

Brands which are not Samsung or SanDisk are more prone to issues. To be sure use a Samsung card.

And the OP shouldn't believe everything he reads on the Internet about these phones frying cards. I have only ever had one issue with a card over the years and I replaced the SanDisk card with a Samsung one and problem solved.

At the moment I have 3 SanDisk 200gb cards in my s7, s7e and tab s 10.4 with no problems. I have a SanDisk 128gb in my J5 with no problems.

My SanDisk card got corrupted and I couldn't write to it. My Samsung card, on the other hand, has worked perfectly since I bought it.

Sandisk cards work fine in the s7 edge (I'm using a 200 GB card now). Just make sure you buy from from a reputable vendor (*not* eBay, as there are many fakes) and regularly back up anything important to cloud and/or external disk.
