Samsung Tab S2 Model T810 won't do a manual update but the T813 will.

I have the Samsung Tab S2 Model T810 and my wife the T813. I set them up identically, same apps, same settings, Android 7.0, etc. If I go to Settings / Software update / Download updates manually on both the T813 will check and update if necessary but the T810 will return the message:

"Unable to download update"
"Unable to update the software. A network or server error occurred. Try again later."

There is no "later" as it never works. We are not on a phone plan but on the same wifi--again, both tablets are setup the same. The only differences in the "about device" is the Android security patch level for her T813 is dated 1/1/2018 and mine is 4/1/2017--the last time I got it to update anything.

What can I do to get it to update as hers does?

Why won't the T810 update and the T813 will?
