Samsung Tab SM-t520 Not being recognized by laptop

My laptop has stopped recognizing my Samsung Tab 10.1 SM T 520. Have tried almost everything - resetting the tab, changing charging wires and using other laptops. Keep getting the same message - the USB device has malfunctioned. Thanks in advance for any solution

Have you tried downloading Samsung Kies so that it can install the latest drivers?

when they updated my tab to 4.2.2, it quit connecting to the computer. this is not a problem, according to Samsung support. it's a feature. thanks for nothing, aholes.
