Samsung Tablet E 8.0 issue

Need help for AT&T message.

All the updates are downloaded.
Android 7.1.1
security patch level Feb 1, 2018
message version 1.0.0.4

My issue is sudden inactive AT&T message.
Keep saying connection loss.
error code 4007
I did uninstall message and reinstall.. I followed step by step procedures, all is good but still cannot connect AT&T message.

Anybody got the issue? What did I do or did I miss a step?

FYI... message on my samsung active 7 phone is perfect, everything was perfect until 3 days ago, I cannot sign in.

Help....
 
I moved this from the Galaxy Tab forum (which is intended for the original Galaxy Tab) to the More Samsung Tablets forum (since there is not specific forum for the Tab E).

Update....
uninstall for the last time, and reinstall, insert code, same issue....

It looks like pop up blocker is activated and preventing AT&T message coming on....
example... once I sign in / log on, screen changes to "Welcome to ATT Message' then goes back to "Please sign in" window...... any ideas?
 
Go to Settings>Apps, select the messaging app, then tap Storage, then Clear Cache/Clear Data. If that doesn't work, then make sure your APN settings are correct for AT&T.
