I can't get off this frozen screen with any of the suggested button manipulations ( Power, Home, Volume Up or Down) to boot back to my tablet. The tablet starts booting back, but it reverts to the downloading screen immediately after, in a loop.
I was about to install a custom ROM.

I downloaded the Flashify app and followed the instructions to flash the TWRP on the tablet from the file on the SD card . This problem started.Immediately after.

Mine is a Samsung SM-T330 tablet.

Thanks for your help

Download a copy of the stock ROM. Flash that. Make sure the version of TWRP you're flashing is for your tablet - TWRP is not a universal app, there's a different version for each device - the letters after "330" included.

You wiped both Android and recovery, so the only bootable partition left is the download partition, which is where you are.

I have downloaded the stock Rom for my device. The instructions say that I need Odin on my Pc ,which is fine but that I also have to power off the tablet, which I cannot do while the tablet is stuck on the downloading mode. I read that it may work if I let the battery drain first, which is what I am doing. I hope it will work.
Right now the PC doesn't even see the tablet.

If I can flash the stock ROM back, then I'll be back to square 1, though, because my problem nay have been caused by the wrong TWRP version.
I have been searching for days for a TWRP ( and a Custom ROM) compatible with my tablet, but I couldn't find any exact match. I took a chance, going by approximation . I downloaded two TWRP versions: a TWRP 2.87 and a TWRP 3.3. The one I tried to flash with the Flashify app is the TWRP 2.8.
For the Custom ROM I downloaded the Dirty Unicorn version. I cannot give you the exact versions because they are in my tablet and I cannot access them.
I wonder if I can do away with the TWRP and flash only the new custom ROM. I have done a backup of all my apps and data on an External SD Card.

Thanks

to get into the downloading screen. You['[re already there, so skip that step.

Have you installed the Samsung USB Driver for Windows? If so, are you still on the screen that says to press Volume Up to continue, Volume Down to reboot? In that case, press Volume Up.

Which messed up the boot file, which is being replaced when you flash the new ROM.

First, not if it's not for your version of the tablet. Second, not if it gets installed via TWRP. But if you can find a version for your variant of the 330, and that gets installed with Odin, yes.

Thanks Rukbat

I was able to solve the problem with Odin. Never thought Odin would connect to the PC , since the tablet wouldn't without it! One of those wrong assumptions!

Thanks
