Samsung Trade In

They declined my trade-in saying I didn't reset my phone...I am calling them as soon as their call centers open at 9. That definitely wasn't a fun thing to wake up to.Screenshot_20191001-065708_Samsung%20Internet.jpeg

Photos are generally useless
UNLESS you filmed it AT the point of shipping

Showing it was reset showing it turned off placed in the box and sealed and handed over to
the Fed Ex Agent ., they scan it and hand you the receipt etc. say goodbye and leave stop the recording

This shows the entire action all with no pauses in the filming .

Yep I took photos. But the picture I provided is what they sent back to me saying it wasn't reset. I chat with 2 different reps and called and they all agreed it was reset but they had to send it back to have it evaluated again. The lady on the phone laughed and said "some of those people are idiots and don't know how to go through the set up process for a phone." But I'm supposed to call back by next friday if I get an email rejecting it for the same thing.
Did you take photos before shipping it? I assumed you did factory reset it.

I shipped my Note 9 for trade-in ($600) on September 23rd, they received it on the 26th and on the 27th I received an email notifying me that my trade-in was successful. I've done several trade-ins with Samsung and never had any problems.

Same here. I traded in my LG 6 for $600 towards a Galaxy S10 and didn't have any issues. I did remove my Google account from the phone before doing a factory reset.

That would be pretty effective, assuming you can get it all in one take and the box's tracking ID is visible and you never let the box go offscreen after the phone is in it (otherwise you could be substituting a different box).

But if instead you just take the relevant photos immediately before shipping, I think that also has some value. True, it doesn't rule out various ways you could easily fake it. But it does rule out various accidental errors on your part. So if they say something was wrong that contradicts the photos, then the photos will show that either (1) they're mistaken, or (2) you're being deliberately fraudulent. And if your reputation makes (2) unlikely, you can thereby demonstrate that (1) is probable.

Woke up to an email saying my trade in was successful. I'd like to thank them for giving me like 3 days of an almost heart attack til that went through lol.
