Samsung Unlocked or Verizon?

I have Verizon as my carrier. Any advantage of getting a Samsung unlocked Note 9 as opposed to getting one directly from Verizon? Will the unlocked phone have the same functionality as the Verizon branded Note 9? Thought I read somewhere the unlocked NOTE 9 won't support WiFi calling. Never used that so I don't know if I even need that. TIA

Yes, a little less bloatware, but about 3-4 updates per year. Verizon is a lot faster than that. (And you can remove about half the bloatware without rooting.)

The note 9 is the first unlocked device I've ever owned since being with Verizon. Thruthfully speaking if I had to decide again between an unlocked device or branded. I'm going unlocked. I just ordered an S10plus unlocked as well.

As far as updates. I don't really care about them. When I purchased the note 9 it worked great out the box. Other than a security tweak here and there that is good enough for me. And if that arrives beginning of the month or two months later so be it. I'll never understand why many folks constantly seek an update or worry about when the next one will be released. If you have no problems with your device. I say just enjoy it!
